The much-anticipated release of GTA 6 has been dominating discussions across gaming communities, with new leaks and insights fueling excitement. However, a past interview with Take-Two Interactive has surfaced, suggesting that PC players might have to wait longer than expected.

PC Release Not Included in Initial Launch

An older IGN interview with Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that GTA 6 will first launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, leaving PC players out of the initial release. When asked about the absence of a PC version at launch, Zelnick explained that Rockstar follows a staggered release strategy, historically launching Grand Theft Auto titles on consoles first before bringing them to PC.

When Can PC Players Expect GTA 6?

While major game titles do eventually make their way to PC, Take-Two remains tight-lipped about an exact release window. However, based on the 2025 console release, reports suggest that the PC version may not arrive until 2026 at the earliest.

Despite this delay, Zelnick emphasized that PC is becoming an increasingly important platform for Rockstar and Take-Two. However, the company expects that GTA 6’s launch will drive significant console sales, as many first-time players may purchase new systems just to play the game.

New Leaks: Playable Locations in GTA 6

Port Vice City / Miami

The upcoming game will feature Port Vice City, a modernized version of the iconic Port Miami. The game’s trailer showcased a speedboat chase, hinting at thrilling waterfront action. Additionally, leaked branding elements confirm that Vice City Port will play a major role in the game, though it has been rebranded as "Port Vice City" instead of its former “Vice Port” moniker from previous GTA titles.

Vice City International Airport

Airports have always been integral to the GTA series, and with GTA 6’s expanded map, Rockstar is likely to include a fully functional Vice City International Airport. Players can steal planes, use them for missions, and navigate the massive in-game world in true GTA fashion.

Final Thoughts

While GTA 6 is set to launch in 2025 for consoles, PC players may have to wait until 2026 or beyond. Despite the delay, Rockstar’s focus on bigger maps, immersive locations, and enhanced gameplay suggests that the wait may be worth it.
